Accommodation

 

We ask that you arrange your own accommodation for the conference. All city centre hotels are typically no more than 30 minutes walk from the conference location, and much less via bus or Metro links.

 

Newcastle has a selection of budget hotels, such as a Travelodge, a Holiday Inn and several others. We recommend also checking Last Minute, Booking.com, andTrivago to find an appropriate place to stay during the conference.

Location and Travel Information

 

The conference will be held at both the Percy Building and the Old Library Building in Newcastle University, within the city centre. Please refer to the following page to find Newcastle University map http://www.ncl.ac.uk/about/visit/maps/. 

 

Newcastle University is accessible by walking from most city centre locations. For those staying outside of the city centre, the University is accessible by bus and Metro services. The nearest Metro Station is Haymarket (less than 10 minutes walk), and the nearest bus stations are Haymarket Bus Station and Eldon Square Bus Station. If travelling by taxi, ask the driver to drop you off on Claremont Road next to Merz Court.

Newcastle is also served by a rail station and airport. The rail station is located in the city centre and is approximately 15 minutes walk from the university and the conference location. The airport is connected to the city centre via Metro, a journey of approximately 25 minutes.
